Don’t forget the 3 Rs.

To keep things in order, you have to consider the infamous 3 Rs: reduce, reuse and recycle. Reduce what you have, stop bothering yourself over wanting to toss things away that have memories attached to them. If you are no longer using it, do not be afraid to get rid of it. Reuse and recycle every single thing you can think of, find ways to be creative and resourceful. Less is more.

Don’t bring excess into the house.  Again, if you don’t need it might as well leave it. Make it a habit that nothing should be purchased which is not on the shopping list. When you are in a store and you think you want this and that, don’t buy it if it’s not on the list. Get out of the practice of wrapping up your money and space in a pile of things you don’t need.  You should know the difference between wants and needs.
