Not only for aesthetic purposes but also for setting up your mood for the day. Then you stare at this mountain of garments on the corner and your other stuff scattered all over the floor, ugh eyes heavenward. Well it just sucks!

Breaking home organisation up into manageable chunks not only keeps things simple, but it also drives motivation as results are seen faster than if many rooms are tackled at once. For instance, first, work on your kitchen. Go through your refrigerator and food cupboards and throw out anything that is beyond its expiration date. Or you can first work on your living room or whatever section of the house you prefer to do first and so on.

Don’t forget the 3 Rs.

To keep things in order, you have to consider the infamous 3 Rs: reduce, reuse and recycle. Reduce what you have, stop bothering yourself over wanting to toss things away that have memories attached to them. If you are no longer using it, do not be afraid to get rid of it. Reuse and recycle every single thing you can think of, find ways to be creative and resourceful. As an example, you can recycle the milk cartons you emptied over your cereal this morning, they could be made for some stationary storage organizer. Therefore, it doesn’t only save you space but as well as from spending money.

Less is more.

Don’t bring excess into the house.  Again, if you don’t need it might as well leave it. Make it a habit that nothing should be purchased which is not on the shopping list. When you are in a store and you think you want this and that, don’t buy it if it’s not on the list. Get out of the practice of wrapping up your money and space in a pile of things you don’t need.  You should know the difference between wants and needs.
