You must clean your fridge regularly, particularly its condenser coils, which become dusty in a short period of time. You may use a condenser brush to clean the coil. Meanwhile, you must unplug the fridge first before cleaning the freezer. Use a baking soda solution and wipe the freezer and the inside parts of your fridge. Once done, you must rinse it with water and let the freezer, dry with a towel before plugging it.

2. Gas/ Electric Cooker (13 and 15 years)

The electric cooker could last for 13 years, while the gas cooker has the life expectancy of 15 years. You must both maintain them properly by cleaning them twice a year or regularly if used often times.

For better cleaning, it is advisable that you follow the self-cleaning feature of the manufacturer’s guidelines. But before you clean the electric cooker, you must unplug it first.

You could also clean it by spraying a baking soda solution on the cooker and then wipe it with a washing up liquid to remove all the grease. Once done, wipe it with a vinegar and water solution to remove the germs and to make it shine brightly. Do not remove the cooktop’s knob while cleaning because it might affect the electrical system.
